The best leaders I've worked with couldn't be more different.
Some were introverts. Others extroverts.
Some were warm and encouraging. Others were direct and demanding.
Some were incredible strategists. Others were exceptional operators.
Different personalities. Different strengths. Different leadership styles.
But they all had one thing in common:
They were generous.
Generous with their time, even when their calendars were packed.
Generous with their energy, even when they were dealing with challenges of their own.
Generous with their presence, giving you their full attention when there were a hundred other things competing for it.
Generous with their connections, making an introduction when it could open a door for you.
And generous with their knowledge, teaching what they'd learned rather than keeping it as an advantage for themselves.
In a world that obsesses over, "What's in it for me?", these leaders chose a different question: "What can I give?"
And you don't need to have a lot to be generous.
You can be busy and give someone your time.
You can be early in your career and share something you've learned.
You can have a small network and make one valuable introduction.
You can be facing your own challenges and still offer someone encouragement.
Generosity isn't about how much you have.
It's about what you choose to do with what you have.
What's one thing you can give today?
